Old Fashioned Yorkshire Pudding

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 3/4 cup plain flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 eggs, lightly whisked

  • 300ml milk

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Pour 1 tablespoon of oil into each of six 1/3 cup capacity muffin pans. Place in preheated oven for 5 minutes or until oil is hot.

  2. Combine the flour and salt in a bowl. Add the egg and gently whisk until combined. Gradually add the milk in a thin steady stream and whisk until smooth.

  3. Divide batter into the hot muffin pans.

  4. Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
